We were at the table, eating, and the AC came on and blew a handful of his hairs up into the air. One floated down right onto your plate, and you very casually moved it off to the side and went right on the meal. If I hadn't already known, that moment would have told me you were our kind of people!Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021516647141651616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988507102530771858.post-60323821885678085612012-11-04T14:47:18.156-08:002012-11-04T14:47:18.156-08:00Oh, I wish he was still here, too. His life wasn't nearly long enough, but we have so many great memories, and we know, except for those first few weeks, he had it as cushy as a dog could. He also opened us up to taking in other throwaways. Their presence had made our lives darn near perfect.Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021516647141651616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988507102530771858.post-49277725170178137942012-11-04T14:44:12.904-08:002012-11-04T14:44:12.904-08:00So true, Jackie! I shudder to think what mischief he could have managed with a stool.Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021516647141651616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988507102530771858.post-68838469354255739502012-11-04T14:40:04.729-08:002012-11-04T14:40:04.729-08:00Thanks, Deb. The name is French and is supposed to sound more like Duke, but the MPs pronounced it Duck, so we do, too.Marilynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04021516647141651616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2988507102530771858.post-26072055892686242762012-11-03T18:18:33.901-07:002012-11-03T18:18:33.901-07:00Duc was an incredible dog.
